Hey There! I’m Alyssa
A tea drinking, fitness-loving gal with perpetual wanderlust based in Atlanta who’s on a mission to support millennial managers become confident and compassionate leaders.
My coaching approach balances empathy with action. I lead with compassion and hold space for clients to process their challenges, while also supporting them to build systems, develop skills, and take concrete steps that create real change in how they lead, communicate, and show up for their teams.
With over 6 years of experience managing teams and operations for SoulCycle in New York City and Atlanta, I understand firsthand what it takes to lead in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. I've built and scaled teams, exceeded revenue targets, coached managers through their first leadership roles, and created cultures where people thrive. That real-world experience informs every coaching conversation I have.
It may seem surprising to people now, but I didn’t used to consider myself a natural leader.
For a long time I thought that because I wasn’t loud and intimidating like many of the stereotypes of leadership I had modeled for me in my early career that a leadership role wouldn’t be in the cards for me. And to be honest I didn’t want to have to act like that to lead a team anyways!
But despite that self doubt, I continually found myself thrust into leadership roles. Whether it was leading a group project because I could mediate between all parties, being voted into a leadership role in my sorority because I was trustworthy, to getting a job as a manager with little experience because I was enthusiastic and willing to learn.
I made a career change in my mid 20s that took me from journalism to managing a large team in a very fast paced environment. As in 500 plus clients a day who were very passionate about riding stationary bikes.
This is where I discovered my leadership superpower: compassion.
I have now managed the people, operations and growth of over 6 different multi-million dollar fitness studios and have successfully built engaged, efficient and effective teams in each one. I have witnessed first hand how compassionate leaders can change teams for the better. Think higher performance, less turnover and happiness at work. And I want to give all business owners and managers the tools to reach their leadership potential.
When I'm not coaching leaders, I'm "Coach Alyssa" to 3-5 year olds in the pool, teaching them to swim. Turns out, coaching toddlers and coaching managers aren't that different! Both require patience, breaking big scary things into manageable steps, meeting people exactly where they are, and celebrating progress over perfection.
